It’s with great joy that we share the news about the winner of our annual “Give the Gift of Better Hearing” giveaway! This monthlong initiative aimed to honour Better Hearing & Speech Month by giving back to the community we cherish.

We understand that the challenges of hearing loss can often be overwhelming, and for many, seeking professional help can be delayed due to various factors, be it financial constraints or apprehensions around hearing aids.

That’s why we at Provincial Hearing dedicated the month of May to helping someone in our community enhance their life with the power of improved hearing.

This year’s giveaway asked you to nominate someone in your life whom you believed would benefit from the gift of hearing. And as ever, we were deeply touched by the stories you shared. Each submission was a testament to the love and care that exists in our community.

And today, we are thrilled to announce that the lucky winner of a complimentary pair of hearing aids and access to premium hearing care is none other than a wonderful gentleman who’s greatly adored by his family – meet our winner!

Peter - Give the Gift of Better Hearing Winner

Winner: Grandfather Extraordinaire

As someone who spends his days being there for everyone else and has dedicated his life to helping others, our winner truly embodies selflessness. However, this remarkable person has been facing significant challenges in experiencing the joy of communication, especially with his beloved grandchildren. His family shared:

“He always helps everyone else and never does anything for himself and he has a hard time hearing his grandkids and he is missing out on a lot of first times. He deserves to hear his grandchildren speaking to him without them yelling at the top of their lungs and questioning why Grampy can’t hear them. With hearing aids, my father would be able to hear without constantly asking you to repeat yourself because he can’t hear you even when you sit right next to him.”

At Provincial Hearing, we believe that everyone deserves the joy of effortlessly sharing and receiving words of love. We’re truly delighted that this grandfather can now listen to the giggles of his grandchildren without any difficulty.

He will soon receive a comprehensive diagnostic hearing assessment at his local Provincial Hearing clinic and will be fitted with his personalized hearing aids – an ultimate prize he unquestionably deserves!
