Originally known as Pisiquit by Acadian settlers who arrived in the 1680s, Windsor, NS, was a target of attack during Queen Anne’s War in response to Acadian raids on New England, as well as the focus of the Bay of Fundy Campaign that led to the Acadian expulsion.
