Vaughan
Vaughan, NS, is named after three Loyalist brothers who resettled on Acadian land after the expulsion, moving inland from Chester to establish a gristmill and sawmill on the creek that was also given their name. Farming and forestry were the primary occupations of Vaughan residents from their resettlement years up until today.
