Sable River
Sable River, NS, is located at the mouth of the Sable River in the Municipality of the District of Shelburne. It was among the important downriver points for milling lumber and transporting it into the North Atlantic.
Like so many communities in southern Nova Scotia, the timber industry is no longer the primary economic driver, replaced by farming and tourism.
