Middle Clyde River
Like many of the communities in southern Nova Scotia, Middle Clyde River, NS, was built around lumbering camps. According to historians, Middle Clyde River had three sawmills in operation in 1875.
Though on a smaller scale, lumber continues to have some importance today, but Middle Clyde River is mostly centred around farming. Nearby lakes attract tourism in the form of hiking, fishing, and hunting, providing an additional economic draw to our community.
