Hunts Point
Established on a land grant issued to Samuel Hunt in 1759, Hunts Point, NS, is an unincorporated community in the Region of Queens Municipality. Since its earliest days, our community has been known as one of the best areas for lobstering.
Hunts Point becomes a hive of activity during the lobster season, from the last Monday in November to May 31, especially on "dumping day," the first day of the season, when fishers’ families see the boats off at dawn in celebration of the start of the season. RV and camping facilities, as well as cottage rentals, provide temporary housing for the season and for family vacation time at Hunts Point Beach.
