Clyde River
Located above Port Clyde on Highway 103, Clyde River, NS, gets its name from the river that flows through the community, which was in turn adopted after the famous river in Scotland. Settled by New England Planters in the mid-1660s, and then later by Loyalists after 1783, lumbering and farming were the initial industries of our community.
Connected to Port Clyde and Lyle Bay by Port Clyde Road, visitors and residents of the area have access to recreational activities like kayaking, sailing, yachting, and other water sports. The River Hills Golf and Country Club is another nearby feature that draws visitors to our community.
